Recreating the Ferrari 412P in 3D presented a unique challenge from the start, as the scene depicts the car being towed away back into the paddock after its furious run. It sustained damage to various parts, such as a broken headlight, a scratched paint job, dents and scrapes throughout. To ensure that the final artwork accurately portrayed the car's real-life appearance, we undertook extensive research to ensure that the car was modelled with 100% accuracy. Every scratch and every dent was recreated with care, and the final texture and lighting of the artwork perfectly reflect the car's damaged state.

While the car is the centrepiece of the artwork, the Paddock and its surroundings posed the real problem to be replicated accurately - because this particular area of the Circuit no longer exists. Therefore the team meticulously researched old photos and archival materials to recreate the entire scene. From the tow truck to every other small element of the scene, (such as the garage, tools, and other equipment), the team modelled everything from scratch. The other racing cars parked nearby were also modelled with great focus to their actual after-race state. By recreating every detail with care, the resulting artwork is a stunning and authentic representation of this particular moment in time and an accurate portrayal of a bygone era of racing.

The 3D-modelled scene provided a strong foundation for the print, but there is another key element to the artwork that truly brings it to life - the people. Each person in the depicted crowd was carefully selected and dressed in era-appropriate attire to make the scene more realistic. Since the scene is set at night, we had to adjust the lighting to create a realistic and dramatic atmosphere. We wanted to make sure that the scene was visible and detailed enough to be appreciated by the viewer, but still, capture the essence of that particular race night.

In the end, the culmination of the process is the final product that we proudly present to you - a unique Fine Art Print that combines all the layers we have painstakingly created.
