Automobilist ’The Pink Hour’ Fine Art is Here! 🐖

Over the past few months, we have been teasing a special artwork featuring a very special car. As you may have already noticed, we have teamed up with Porsche to create a tribute worthy of the iconic 917/20 painted full pink, also known as the 'Pink Pig'. For the first time, we have shared the process of designing a Fine Art Print with our devoted audience, allowing the outcome to be directly influenced by public voting. And there is no better time to pay homage to the legendary vehicle than during the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the legendary race at Le Mans. We are thrilled to present you with the finished tribute – The Pink Hour.

As mentioned above, this particular Fine Art Print was special thanks to the production process being shared with you, our fellow Automobilists. Consisting of three public polls, the votes influenced the artwork in the following departments – angle, daytime and name. The winning options have then set the direction for the outcome we are so delighted to finally be presenting with you today. It’s remarkable to see how the power of collective decision-making has shaped our project and we are grateful to everyone who participated in the voting process.

From research and 3D modelling, all the way to the final texturing, you had the chance to witness the artwork unfold in ‘real time’ through the regular updates on our website. Sporting an extraordinary look decorated with dotted lines mimicking a butcher’s chart, the bold colour scheme was to work as a distraction for Porsche's aerodynamic secrets. After months of waiting, the ‘Pink Pig’ Fine Art Print is finally here! Depicting the famed Porsche fleeing its pursuers on the brink of dusk before the night sets in.
