Spare parts in expert hands makes for well, not quite light work - but Ciaran Naran and Forrest Minchinton are no strangers to a challenge. The boys from Baja burn more than midnight oil to build and race a bike using only spare parts (with a leg up from some friends).

Arwin, head mechanic and bike builder at our Bali Temple in Canggu chats new and old builds, building body parts from scratch, a rebellious childhood that led him to where he is today and what not to do with Vespa brakes on the hill from Bedugal to Singaraja. Read more in the Magazine now.

When shaper Ellis Ericson, came to town he produced a small quiver of boards he’s been refining over the last decade. Totally different to what we’re used to, and certainly more than an arm’s length from the mainstream and yet, these crafts of conveyance performed brilliantly, leaving a truly satisfying smile on our dials (and a somewhat smug on Ellis’).
