‘Final five: Koto at The Point nears completion’

Fresh from another celebrated year at the Chelsea Flower Show, landscape designer Darren Hawkes is known for creating gardens with a strong sense of place.

Four years ago, he brought that approach to Koto at The Point in Polzeath, helping transform 11 acres of open grassland into a richly layered coastal landscape surrounding our collection of 17 architecturally designed holiday cabins.

Today, that landscape has come into its own.

What was once a former airstrip is now a tapestry of wildflower meadows, Cornish stone walls, ponds and native planting. Koto's cabins were carefully positioned and oriented to respond to the landscape, making the most of sunlight, shelter and views across the coast. The result is a setting that feels both expansive and intimate, where cabins emerge naturally from the landscape rather than sit upon it.

For owners, that means waking to birdsong, stepping out into meadow planting and enjoying uninterrupted views across the North Cornish coast.

The landscape was always intended to be a defining part of the experience at Koto at The Point. As the planting matures, that vision is becoming increasingly evident, with colour, texture and wildlife now woven throughout the site.

With interest high, just five cabins remain before the project is complete.

Alongside the landscape, owners have access to The Point's golf course, health club, restaurant and bar, while being just minutes from Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock.

Two cabins are ready for summer move-in, with keys available from 1st July and 1st August, while the final three plots offer the opportunity to personalise your cabin with bespoke finishes, including furniture packages, skylights and wood-burning stoves.

With no stamp duty, conveyancing fees or council tax, Koto at The Point offers a straightforward route to owning a coastal retreat on one of Cornwall's most sought-after stretches of coastline.
