Our OG Icons are made to be used, cut close to the original archetypes that defined them. They’re meant to age, to take on natural wear and tear, shaped over time. But wear and tear is also unpredictable. A small rip one season becomes a wide split the next. A patina can take years, sometimes decades, to develop. It’s all left to time and chance. The new ‘destroy’ wash is the opposite: it’s destruction by design. Appearing on our Dearborn Canvas Icons, every rip, fray, and fade is applied through considered dye, laser, and hand-finishing techniques, so each piece is one of one. No time lost. Nothing arbitrary.

For the ‘destroy’ wash to work, it needs a strong base: heavy, tightly woven Dearborn Canvas. Each piece is dyed, washed, and passed under a laser that etches a fade pattern onto the surface. Stopping there would make them identical, so every garment is then scraped and abraded by hand, each one subtly different from the next.
