Since 1991, Volcom has had the goal of combining the cultures of skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, music, and art. They have succeeded in doing so through their vast array of products related to each lens, their events, and their culture. About 12 years ago, Volcom started to focus on sustainability as a goal of theirs and have put into use sustainable methods and materials to meet their commitment to the future of the planet.

Volcom is rethinking their production. They are bringing you many of the same clothes in the same styles, cuts, and washes that you know and love but using significantly less water. Through their new techniques which include enzyme and ozone washes, they have saved 4.5 million litres of water. Check out the styles from Volcom’s Water Aware Denim.

Volcom is continuing to make sustainability a priority of theirs. Their sustainable efforts are not only seen in their Water Aware jeans, but also in their beachwear. Volcom has put 33 million recycled plastic bottles to use in their products through the Repreve® program which avoids the use of new resources and lessens the emission of greenhouse gasses in their production process.
